080903: Nordic Game at GCDC Leipzig 2008

For the third time in a row, Nordic Game participated in Europe’s largest games event, Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany on 20-24 August 2008.

The Nordic Game booth was located at the GC Business Center in the Leipziger Messe, showcasing fourteen Nordic game companies and organisations.



The participating companies were: frecle (Denmark), Futuremark Games Studio (Finland), The Game Incubator (Sweden), Guppyworks (Denmark), Hansoft (Sweden), HaptX (Sweden), Housemarque Oy (Finland), Interactive Nordic (Sweden), Nordic Softsales AB (Sweden), PAN Vision AB (Sweden), Pixolane Ltd (Finland), Press Play (Denmark), RedLynx Ltd. (Finland), Unity 3D (Denmark).



A total of 203 000 people visited the Exhibition Centre, and 14 600 of those were trade visitors with access to the Business Center. The center itself occupied 40,000 square metres with the Nordic Game booth at a prominent location right in the middle of Hall 2.

More than 50 meetings were held at the three meeting rooms of the Nordic Game booth, and combined with several presentations, meetings and press interviews at the private demo stands, the booth was constantly crowded.

On 20 August, the traditional Nordic party took place, this time in the LeipzigBar in central Leipzig. More than 400 Nordic industry members and their guests participated. The party was organised by Nordic Game in conjunction with Dataspelsbranschen and sponsored by Futuremark, GHB, Neogames, Nokia, Producentforeningen and Produsentforeningen.
